SLIP POINT
July 13, 1904: "The lighthouse work here is progressing favorably. The brick foundation for the keeper's dwelling is now laid. A sidewalk has been constructed from the dwelling site to that of the lighthouse and the site of the lighthouse itself is being cleared and graded. A crew of about a dozen men are at work on the job and when completed Clallam bay will have one of the finest constructed lighthouse and buoy signal stations on the Sound." (Port Townsend Leader)
February 3, 1905: "The light house tender Columbine arrived here this evening from the Columbia river. On her way up the Strait she landed the machinery for the Slip Point lighthouse at Clallam bay." (Port Townsend Leader)
