POINT NO POINT
July 13, 1877: "The appropriation of $20,000 from the government, for a light house at Point No Point, has fallen back to the treasury, the price asked for the site by the owner, viz., $1,700, being considered exorbitant. This seems rather unfortunate; as the lanterns, we are told, had been shipped to Portland." (Puget Sound Weekly Argus)
September 19, 1879: "Workmen commence to-morrow building the lighthouse at Point No Point." (Sacramento Daily Union)
January 3, 1880: "Mr. J. S. Maggs, we notice, has received the appointment of lighthouse keeper at the new light at Point-No-Point. That gentleman undoubtedly possesses the qualifications requisite to a faithful and efficient discharge of the duties." (Puget Sound Mail)
June 19, 1880: "The senate committee have stricken out the house appropriation of $5000 for lighthouse and fog signals at Point No Point, W. T. All other Pacific Coast items remain unchanged." (Puget Sound Mail)
