BROWNS POINT
September 1, 1934: "A commemorative tablet was placed on Brown's Point Lighthouse, Wash., on May 26, by the Browns Point Garden Club, the ceremonies being participated in by representatives of the Washington State Historical Society and other civic organizations.
The following inscription appears upon this tablet: This tablet in memory of May 26, 1792, when Capt. George Vancouver and his associates dined at this point. Erected by Browns Point Garden Club, 1934.
The superintendent of the seventeenth lighthouse district, and the keeper of the light station, were called upon to make remarks." (Lighthouse Service Bulletin)
